The InBody Test

InBody can help you analyze your current body condition, which is difficult to explain with weight. InBody is non-invasive, radiation free, easy to use and provide accurate body composition result by stepping on the device and holding the electrodes.

The InBody Test Procedures

Step 01
Wipe your hands and feet with an InBody Tissue.
The InBody Tissue will help enhance current conductivity.
Step 02
Step on the InBody to measure your weight.
Make sure to align your feet with the foot electrodes.
Step 03
When prompted, enter your personal profile.
The profile will allow you to track your progress.
Confirm your personal profile then press enter to begin testing.
Step 04
Grab the handles and place your thumbs on the oval electrodes.
Step 05
Keep your arms straight and away from your body.
Stay relaxed and still until the test is completed.
Your InBody results will print automatically once the test is completed.
So you just took an InBody Test.

What does your InBody Result Sheet mean?

  • This is the measurement result of body water, protein, minerals, and body fat that make up body weight. InBody adopted molecular classification to show measured components quantitatively.

  • The balance of Skeletal Muscle Mass and Body Fat Mass can be evaluated. It shows the amount of Weight, Skeletal Muscle Mass and Body Fat Mass with the graph. By connecting the end of each graph, Ideal, Developed and Obese type can be evaluated.

  • Both BMI and Percent Body Fat are shown to evaluate apparent obesity and actual obesity.

  • Muscle development and balance can be evaluated by checking the muscle mass in each segment. The top bar indicates how much muscle mass an individual has based on ideal weight, and the bottom bar indicates whether the individual has sufficient muscle mass based on current weight.

  • This parameter indicates the balance of body water. and is used as an indicator of the balance of body water.

  • The InBody result is saved in the device after the test and the previous result can be retrieved by entering the ID. Body Composition History shows the change of the subject’s InBody results at a glance.

  • Visceral fat is distributed between the organs and it causes abdominal obesity. The grey part of the graph shows visceral fat area distribution by age.

  • Target weight is provided to recommend the amount that the subject needs to adjust, to have a healthy body.

  • The number in the parenthesis indicates the actual body fat mass in kg, and the number on the right is the ratio to the ideal body fat mass for each segment. You can see where the body fat mass is accumulated on the body.

  • Phase Angle is the resistance on cell membrane expressed in angles, and is related to the integrity of the cell membrane.

  • Impedance value for each frequency and segment is shown. Impedance is the resistance that occurs when alternating current flows through the body composition and is the raw data for all body composition results.
